Enough Toleration!

Valley Street residents found burning incense paper in the middle of the street during Chinese New Year Eve
at around 5pm (22 January 2012), despite allocated bins provided at the foot of the block.

Burning of incense paper despite bins provided

The community understand that burning incense paper is part of the tradition for Chinese. However, the action is found to be extremely inconsiderate as it is not only causing inconvenience to road users but also danger to the residents, due to the ashes flying up to as high as 13th floor that might cause fire.

Residents are alert to be cautious and the relevant authorities to prevent similar incidents from happening with due respect to other religions.
